Hydrangeas that don't droop by Sunday
If you've ever bought fresh hydrangeas, you know how it goes. You set them on the counter Friday, full and lifelike. By Sunday the petals are starting to brown at the edges, the stems are bending over the rim of the vase, and by Wednesday you're throwing them out. Hydrangeas drink more water than almost any cut flower, and even with the right care they rarely make it a full week.
These don't. Place them in a vase on Friday and they look exactly the same the following Friday, and the one after that. The clustered petals stay full, the blooms stay vibrant, the stems stay upright. Five of them in a tall vase fill a dining table or console with the kind of full, romantic arrangement you used to bring home from the florist.
